Ranelagh Cinema Room

This bespoke family cinema room in Ranelagh, Co. Dublin was designed as a richly layered, immersive space that balances drama with everyday comfort. A custom wall-mounted media unit forms the focal point, combining mid-oak vertical slatted joinery with a marble-effect TV surround and integrated LED lighting to frame the 98″ screen. Deep, atmospheric tones are offset with a hand-painted tropical mural, introducing depth and texture while softening the room’s architecture. Custom joinery extends throughout, including a curved slatted coat cabinet with thoughtfully planned internal storage, ensuring the room remains both highly functional and visually calm. Finished with sculptural lighting, tailored upholstery and a muted blue rug, the space feels cocooning, tactile and inviting — a considered family room designed for both impact and longevity.
